11/26/2003- Hello, Just wanted to give a blurb about Wilbur (I really like your site!). Wilbur is an amazing place. I have had many great times there. The lodging, an old California mansion, is excellent whether you want a room for two or want to stay in the public bunks. The kitchen is very big and a fun place to hang out and cook. The tubs are routinely cleaned and the layout is fantastic. And, the valley in which the place sits is absolutely spectacular. For people who live in the Bay Area, Wilbur is that perfect escape for a couple of days to let the stress just ooze out of you. For couples, it's a great way to have an intimate vacation and will definitely fuel your romance. If you're alone, it is a perfect place to just be with yourself. You don't have to talk to anyone if you don't want to. Also, Wilbur does not have the nauseating new age, touch my crystal, how does my aura look vibe that Harbin hasÑanyone can feel comfortable. My only criticism is that Wilbur seems to have hiked its rates quite a bit in the last few years. However, at the end of it, you never feel like you didn't get your money's worth.

5/31/2002- wilbur hot springs is a must. The 100 year old restored hotel is nestled in a valley within 1800 private acres and the mineral waters are unsurpassed. Wilbur lives up to its 135 year old slogan "in all the world no waters like these". check it out.

10/28/2000- This place was fabulous! It really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. We were there for a wedding so the entire place was rented out for that- great idea! The smell of sulphur definitely got to us, when in the middle of the night you would wake up to the smell and not be able to get away from it. However, a gorgeous setting and place to stay. They also have two massage rooms. They have a regular cold pool and a open-sided big wooden shelter that had three pools of varying temperature and then an outdoor hot pool. They also had a sauna which was wonderful. All of these sit right next to a creek/river which sounds wonderful. The non-stop intense smell was the only thing we didn't love about the place. It is small and I believe it is only for overnight guests. They don't make any food for you, but provide each guest with refrigerator space for you to bring your own food. There is also camping up on the hillsides, as well as hiking! Great wedding location!

Looks like people haven't been here for a bit, but likely this is a burner oriented site, powered by laughing squid? Whatever base this speaks to, thank you for the opportunity to speak about Wilbur!!! It is heaven, and perhaps the finest off-grid, relaxed and refreshed experience I have ever had. i am somewhat bummed I wasn't able to find it sooner, and now they are everywhere... http://www.twitter.com/wilburhotspring, facebook, etc. Crazy times people... using technology to help get away from it. =) http://www.wilburhotsprings.com is awesome tho... some good pics.

Well... I've been a bit of a hot spring afficionado for over 20 years, all through BC, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. If you're considering Wilbur, be aware of the following:
1. This is not a "drop-in" facility. 2. They are not set up for any kind of RV accomodation. So, if you show up in an RV, without a reservation, expect to be cordially discouraged from staying. (Not exactly the reception we were looking forward to after a 10 hour drive to get there...) The atmosphere and reception was a bit on the "new age" side, fair enough, but not quite what we were looking for. For those of you who enjoy that kind of environment, "good on ya". Enjoy.
