Always research road conditions, and if the hot springs are still open, before you hit the road. Even with all the great online sources, books are still a great thing to have, especially when you're on the road or hiking in the boonies!

7/23/2002- We're going to hike up to Sykes Hot Springs in the fall .. just waiting for summer to get over so it won't be so crowded up there.

Went up to Sykes for Valentine’s Day 2004. It was great.
There are a number (5?) of pools that border a chilly river. Great to go from hot to cold.
There were about 6 couples that ventured the 10mi hike to get in. Got a bad case of poison oak, so be careful and have fun.
