Always research road conditions, and if the hot springs are still open, before you hit the road. Even with all the great online sources, books are still a great thing to have, especially when you're on the road or hiking in the boonies!

the single tub on the deck has been replaced by about 8 individual tubs on the deck. A few of the tubs are close together so that you can share with a loved one. Clothing is optional only on the deck. I liked its rustic feel. It is still similar to what fkee said - I believe they are now energy self-suficient.
i was recently there for a meteor shower and the climate here is perfect for a clear sky. hot and dry.
if you need green, come in the wet months. summer is yellow. loved it though. cheap and a nice getaway from the damp coast. their website will tell you most everything else.
We were there yesterday. It was perfect, quiet, simple, very nice. The old bathtubs on the deck are a nice approach to public bathing. Being the only clothing optional area I did feel a bit confined. There is a big bath house with private tubs - it is indoors - unappealing in the gorgeous sunny weather. They are adding individual tubs around the pool. The sauna is hot and clean. I really like the no frills environment. We landed here because Orr has no weekday service and the new age circus at harbin turns me off. Glad we found it. I think it will be my new usual spot.

Dropped by the on Saturday.
There was a groups of birders looking at owls that group in the area during this season.
We found management so unhelpful and downright rude that even if we wanted to stay for the night in our RV we were forced to leave.
They charge $20 per person for a 4 hour stay or $30 for camping.
Given the attitude of management is definitively a place NOT to recommend.
Last comment really surprised me. Our experience was very different. The management was extremely helpful and friendly!!! It is the best place in Central California - clean, peaceful, beautiful, relaxing!
